One of my favorite parts about going to San Diego is playing in the sand. The kids always build some big sandcastle that seems to get wrecked buy a stray kid walking by. :) the past few years we have gotten in trouble from the lifeguards for digging holes too deep... We didn't get in trouble this year but we did catch a runner in one of our deep holes...
