Yesterday I said Goodbye to a friend and teammate in a way that was extremely hard. Heather has been suffering from ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) for over3 years.
Heather along with her amazing husband Jeff have decided it is her time to return home. I pray I never have make a decision like this in my lifetime. It was so hard to see my spunky teammate trapped in her paralyzed body but I was greatful for the chance to say goodbye... sometimes loved ones leave and we don't have that chance.
I talked with her and thanked her for the many laughs and great memories. We sat as a team and told stories and laughed... she definitely was the leader of any mischief we got into. She could do "the worm" better than anyone. It was amazing to see the 100's of people coming to say goodbye. She has touched many lives!
The room had tears but was mostly filled with laughter and memories... just how Heather wanted it.
This was one of life's tough days!

Jen, I am so sorry but grateful that we know what happens in the next life.
I am totally stealing this picture! It really turned out to be a great day for Heather and was really fun to catch up with everyone. I feel like we've been so lucky to have know Heather. Can't imagine my life without her.
Jen,
We love ya. Ya did great, just like I knew ya would:).
Jen- That must have been so hard. It makes me want to cry just thinking about having to do something like that. You are such a strong woman...I admire you!!
Jen- Is this the same Heather that went to Taylorsville High School?
I just heard from Tasha what has been going on with Heather. I am sure it was such a hard day!!!
Jen-
I do know Heather. She was a senior when I was a freshman at Taylorsville and I would sometimes catch a ride with her down to Players practice. I will have to let my mom know. We will actually be in town on the 31st.
